How to get to Port McNeill, Northern Vancouver Island

Port McNeill is accessible by road and is located 200km (124miles) north of Campbell River (2hours,20minutes) or 50km (31miles) south of Port Hardy (approx 40 minutes), traveling on Island Highway 19. Alternatively, by air arrival into Port Hardy Airport, by Eagle Air or Pacific Coastal Air and take a taxi to Port McNeill or transfer into Port Hardy Marina to take a short float plane flight directly into the heart of Port McNeill.

Port McNeill is accessible to the Main BC Ferries terminal in Bear Cove, located approx 30 minutes north. From here there are arrivals and departures to/from Prince Rupert. BC Ferries also operates services between the Finnish community of Sointula on adjacent Malcolm Island, and the Native Village of Alert Bay on Cormorant Island.
